Understanding American Subculture

Someone recently said I look like an Asian version of Louis Theroux. It got me thinking about his documentaries covering America and then, after a few searches, I realised that he wrote a book behind his TV series. My five minutes of fame also was a coincidence because I’ve thinking about buying both of Jacob [...]

Immersive images

Roger Ballen talks about photobooks from Jim Casper on Vimeo. Roger Ballen is old-school and in this video he makes some great points about the role books play in learning. Raving 89′

Instead it was the contact sheets taken by Robet Frank, for his iconic book: The Americans. Every [...]

The power of tagging

Lot’s of reasons for this and I could sit here and yammer on about tagging, taxonomies and folksonomies etc etc. Instead of me giving you guys a drawn out explanation I’ll let you do the reading into [...]

Street and Studio exhibition

It’s been a while since I picked up my SLR, and put it to worthy use. The Tate Modern has the Street and Studio exhibition on at moment and I cannot wait to go and see it. I hope it will drum up some inspiration and motivation. Go go check it out!
