This is Dhiren Shingadia's blog about stuff that makes him tick. Here you'll find ramblings about web technology, design and occasional, superfluous, spatters of randomness.

Pepsi Raw
At Paddington station today a small can collided with my foot whilst I was trying to find out a departure time for my train. This little brown specimen had rolled over from its Pepsi sample stand where the guys from Pepsi were dishing out goodies to the commuting masses.
Nothing unusual I guess, I suppose it was much better than the pilchard who was trying to give me Nicorette Whitening yesterday – ask me if I smoke first you plank!
What caught my attention about these little brown cans was the twitter URLs printed on them. Genius! First we saw MySpace URLs on ATL advertising, then “search online”, and now – a first for me – twitter URLs directly on product samples.
It’s a nice piece of integration, a good example for you brand guys looking for ways to integrate social networking into other aspects of marketing and advertising. This is how easy it can be!
As for the twitter account itself? I haven’t looked at it in great detail but can we please not have a re-hash of this.
Ps. Like the vintage design of the can, I’m glad Pepsi have gone all retro.
