Gestural control starts to enter homes

Do you remember the clips below? Gestural control in SF films. It will not be long before some of what has been prophesied in movies becomes a reality.

I’ve been wanting to write about gestural control for quite some time. I think it’s going be the next thing that really shakes up interactive advertising, as soon as devices become common place in people’s homes.

The game that people are playing in the clip below is a good example of how TV will change. Soon ad-breaks will consist of people playing short branded games, which will remember your score and level possibly?

As TV sets change so will gaming consoles; the hand will replace the joy-pad, controller and keyboard.

Call me a dreamer, but it’s all exciting stuff.
